Once a year, Haddonfield Memorial High School holds a well anticipated event among many clubs, which is Winterfest. Winterfest is an event held in December where many clubs gather and present their clubs with either food, products, or activities. Despite being a minor event for the school, it is still one of the most awaited events in the winter season.Â
Clubs use this event as an opportunity to expand the students’ acknowledgement of who they are. Having very few days of the school year for clubs to interact with students, capitalizing on these events is a great way for clubs to stay relevant to the school community.
For this year, over 20 clubs were present in Winterfest on December 18th. Many stands sold cookies of all different types, but also other pastries, candy, and items like hats and sweaters. Some clubs had activities available to those who were interested, including mostly arts and crafts, while other stands used games like Chess or Jeopardy to teach others about their club. Overall, over a hundred people attended Winterfest this year, and many clubs grew in awareness of the student body.
