Haddonfield Memorial High School is proud to introduce a new member of the faculty and staff, Brielle Triano. The new art teacher, Ms. Triano, is a first year teacher who just graduated from The College of New Jersey where she earned her art education degree.
Triano graduated a year early, originally majoring in criminology and minoring in deaf studies. Despite graduating early with her criminology degree, she realized that was not the career path she wanted to take. She took some time to reflect and made the decision that she wanted to go back to TCNJ and study art education. Triano revealed, “I’ve always had a creative bone in my body and it’s something that I was very passionate about.”
When asking Ms. Triano about her experience and being a first year art teacher at HMHS, she only had positive things to say. “Everyone’s super friendly and it has been super helpful, and it’s definitely making an easy transition for me, especially as a first year teacher.” And while there are a lot of new changes and adjustments, she added, “I’m really happy to be a part of such a great community.”
The last question I asked Ms. Triano was a big one. Where do you see yourself growing as a teacher in the next five years? She was very humble and excited to grow more as a teacher. Ms. Triano stated, “I’m definitely looking forward to growing more as an educator and being a better teacher for the students and adapting different lesson plans and making ones that they’re super interested in.” She also hopes to make an impact like adding murals around the school to show art is a great thing in hopes more people would want to do it.
