Although this article is little different then what I tend to write about, I wanted to take the chance to write about something that I love, or more specifically, a movie that I love. That movie is none other than Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, the Star Wars franchise has put out millions of productions in forms of TV shows, movies and video games, since 1977 to now still releasing projects in 2023. Even though this is the case after all this time Revenge of the Sith still stands as my favorite piece from this prominent, popular franchise. Coincidentally my favorite movie even came out the same year I was born 2005, as crazy as it sounds I believe that it was meant to be that way, showing a deeper connection between me, the movie, and the franchise as a whole.
Now to get into the movie, this film was a tribute to finish off this newer trilogy commonly known as the prequels, and be the bridge between the original trilogy movies and the prequel trilogy movies. For those who don’t know the movies, the movies that start off the franchise are made later than the trilogy that is supposed to be the direct middle of the sequence of movies. But for this article I am reviewing the last movie made in the prequel trilogy, the main focus are Jedi’s Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker whose job is to protect the peace and ensure safety throughout the galaxy. They fight alongside other Jedi as well as their clone trooper army in order to defeat the forces of evil that are trying to have full control. This movie takes place three years after the second, Anakin is a well established Jedi Knight, warrior, and general with Obi-Wan being at his side being a wise master. We catch our heroic characters at the end of the war trying to finally win and put it to rest, but the lead villain has another plan to turn Anakin and the clone army to the side of darkness and have him help take control of the galaxy with no one standing in their way, and sad to say this this is the ending we get and it is not a joyous one, showing Anakin betray his master, the Jedi, and the galaxy taking full tyrannical control making the galaxy miserable until the time of the next trilogy leaving him control of the galaxy for two decades.
Anakin, while being one of two main characters for this trilogy, is the clear lead of the trilogy. As a character he is recognized as one of the greatest characters in all of fiction, on par with characters like Batman, and James Bond, and he has the resume to prove it. He went from the Chosen One and supposedly the one to end all the darkness, to being the villain who took over the entire galaxy in an instant. With all that included, his story concludes with him completing that prophecy of him bringing balance to the force and the galaxy as a whole with the help of his son who you will meet if you continue the franchise.
