It’s no surprise that Taylor Swift never fails to amaze her numerous fans. The 33-year-old pop star has released ten original albums since 2006. In March 2023, Swift set out for Glendale, Arizona as she began her sensational Eras Tour, playing songs from all the albums. Swift performs 44 songs to tens of thousands of fans for over three hours.
On August 31, 2023, Swift announced her upcoming release of a film in movie theaters. It will encapsulate the first leg of her Eras’ Tour performance in the United States. The run time of the film is two hours and forty-five minutes, so presumably, it will contain the entirety of her performance setlist. After a break in her tour, fans are highly anticipating this film.
High school student Emily Asselin explains, “Oh, I am so excited to see it. I went to the concert and it was one of the best nights of my life. Seeing the preview of the movie gives me chills.”
Tickets have already gone on sale for this epic piece of cinema. Many fans are pleased that they can see her concert for approximately twenty dollars rather than spending hundreds if not thousands of dollars on the live event. However, it has not been as easy to get tickets to the film as it might seem.
Chloe Kilkelly from Haddonfield Memorial High School adds, “Personally I didn’t get tickets to it which sucks because I also didn’t see the concert.”
After difficulty getting tickets to her live performance and further difficulty with getting movie tickets, Taylor Swift proves how widespread and vast her fan base is. With the release of the film and the additional release of her 1989 re-recording, October will be an exciting month for Swifties.
