HMHS’s annual Fright Night Dance took place again this year on Wednesday, October 30. It was proof showing how our High School is truly one of a kind.
The dance was held the night before Halloween, and all grades were brought together for the special spooky night. Everyone dressed in their unique costumes, and some athletes decided to match. Our girls soccer team wore their insides on the outside on Wednesday with their skeleton costumes.
Some of our freshmen, who experienced the dance for the first time, had a great time with all the activities and dancing.
Ruby Goodworth, the class of 2028 student vice president, exclaimed, “I had an amazing time with all the grades together. Seeing everyone dressed up in their unique costumes was also so much fun!”
Goodworth explains how much fun it is to bring everyone together before we go our separate ways for fall break. The dance provided “a fun way for everyone to hangout outside of school, and have tons of fun.” However, the students weren’t the only ones that had a great time in their costumes: many teachers and staff members did too, including Mrs. Miller.
But behind all the fun that the dance brought, it also couldn’t have happened without our school coming together to make the dance happen. Our peer leaders worked tremendously hard on bringing the Halloween scene to life with the incredible decorations. There were also many other roles that played into the Fright Night Dance, including the great snacks brought for everyone to enjoy by the Leo Club. But even with all the student dedication to making the night that best it could be there were a lot of people behind the scenes that were the reason the dance was such a success.
