The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, directed by Ben Stiller, is about A constantly daydreaming man, Ben Stiller, who works at Life Magazine during the remodeling into becoming fully online. The final cover they are publishing goes missing and he must contact the drifting photographer (Sean Penn) in order to publish in time. Walter battles not only physically, but comes to terms with his life and finally becomes the man he always wanted to be. This movie stars Ben Stiller, Sean Penn, Kristen Wiig, Adam Scott, and Patton Oswalt. 

Firstly, I will go over why I praise this movie so highly and the beautiful details found within it. The main reason this movie is my favorite is the character of Walter Mitty. He is a very down-to-earth and resonating character, while also being very interesting and worthy of his place as the main character. Along with the main character, the plot is also very intriguing, as it starts off with a lighter tone and less action, it slowly unravels into a great journey that no one would pass up on. The cinematography, combined with the great score, creates a very entertaining and hard-to-look-away-from movie. Along with the many successes found in the work, there are also some flaws. In some parts, the movie may seem slowly paced, and in others, it may seem overly optimistic. I know after watching this movie for about the fourth time, I started to see how Walter doesn’t have any mental health problems after losing his job and doesn’t have much of a swing in mood after he becomes the man he’s always wanted to be.
